Fall Around Stowe
There are several options for viewing the spectacle of the transition from summer to Autumn in the Stowe area. Pick one of the countless scenic drives to take in the changing of the seasons. One of our favorites incorporates a number of quaint covered bridges that dot the Vermont countryside. For a description of one such covered bridge and foliage tour, click HERE. You don’t have to go all the way to Stowe – even though the drive on 108 through Smugglers’ Notch Pass is beautiful, go for a drive on the Pleasant Valley Road in Cambridge, VT.
Fall Fun
Do you like a little mystery? Enjoy solving a puzzle? In Stowe, visit the Percy Farm Corn Maze right off of Vermont RT 108. The Percy corn maze is open from mid-summer through late fall. Another option, from now until Oct. 18th, the Great Vermont Corn Maze! It is just a 1 hour trip from Sterling Ridge Log Cabin Resort to North Danville, VT! This truly unique maze changes every year and will keep you on your toes! Situated on 10 acres of a dairy farm, there are about three miles of trails surrounded by walls of corn. Plan on a bit of a workout and spending 2-5 hours solving the maze and enjoying the many other attractions on the farm. For more information, visit http://www.vermontcornmaze.com/index.html.
