Who’s ready to get back to our new normal? Very soon, we’ll be able to travel to other states, plan fun vacations, and explore this gorgeous state. But does that mean we drop everything we’ve learned about social distancing? If you’re planning a trip to Vermont soon, here are some great ways to have fun while also practicing safe social distancing guidelines.
Hiking in Vermont
The Green Mountains of Vermont are known for hiking and the famous Long Trail. Short drive for hikes on Long Trail such as Prospect Rock (Johnson), Sterling Pond (Smugglers’ Notch State Park) and Laraway (Waterville). These hikes can be challenging so be sure to wear appropriate footwear, bring snacks and water, and wear layers.
Did you know we have three miles of private trails at Sterling Ridge Resort? You can also continue on to the Windridge Community Trails and Lamoille Valley Rail Trail that winds along the Lamoille River. Both are perfect places for a family walk or a doggie stroll. Looking for something a bit more daring? Check out some of our recommendations for thrill-seekers!
Family Game Nights
Want to get outside but still keep your space? Snag some materials and roast marshmallows out by your private fire pit. We’ve got everything you need right in our Welcome Center, or you can always bring your own supplies! Pro Tip: Try using mint patties or peanut butter cups on your s’mores in the place of chocolate.
Home Cooked Dinner
Did you know that all of our cabins have a full kitchen? You are encouraged to bring your own food to prepare in your cabin and enjoy together. Not planning to cook on your trip? Local restaurants and providing delivery and curbside up dinners that you can take back and enjoy!
Stay Active
There are so many ways to get out and enjoy Vermont this season. Hiking, biking, paddling, fishing; it’s endless! Our priority this season is to allow our guests to spend some much-needed time relaxing with friends and family while staying healthy and safe.
