Thanksgiving Activities to Enjoy

Family traditions and gatherings at Sterling Ridge Log Cabins are memorable occasions to reunite with family and friends. Traditions are a great way for children to enjoy time together with family. Try this wonderful family activity: The Thankful Tree – get a large branch from the woods, cut out individual maple leaves with colored paper, write what they are thankful for and hang on the tree branch.

Other traditions include watching the Macy’s Day parade (Sterling Ridge has cable TV!), making a wish from the Thanksgiving turkey’s wishbone, watching football – cheer on your favorite team and of course lots of delicious food! All log cabins at Sterling Ridge are equipped with full-size kitchens and stoves big enough for your Thanksgiving turkey and all the fixings.

A New England Thanksgiving

Sterling Ridge Log Cabin Resort is thankful to all of our guests who visit us each year. Many of our guests and our employees are from other New England states and choose to stay in Vermont for the Thanksgiving holiday. Our employees, even though not Vermonters, know what it is like to celebrate a ‘down home’ New England Thanksgiving. Whether you are celebrating in your home state or visiting the wonderful state of Vermont, giving thanks for our blessings is truly the heart of the celebration of Thanksgiving.
