Maple Syrup in Vermont in Spring - tap on a maple tree

Maple Season Is the Heartbeat of Vermont Spring

If there is one experience that defines spring in Vermont, it is maple syrup season. This is when sugar maples are tapped, sap runs strong, and sugarhouses come alive with steam, fire, and craft. Many places talk about maple. Sterling Ridge lives it.

The owners, Barb and George, operate a large, certified organic maple syrup operation, Rock Maple Mountain. The sap used for their syrup comes directly from the maple trees around the property. Guests are not just near maple production. They are staying in the middle of it. Their syrup is available in the Ridge Store, and the process behind it is a point of pride. Maple production in the Salg family has been passed down through generations, and it shows in both the quality and the care behind every batch. During maple season at Sterling Ridge, you can enjoy a little taste of our maple syrup at check-in.
