Every winter, Vermont offers a special weekend for snowmobilers: the “Ride for $25 Weekend” by VAST. Stay at Sterling Ridge Resort and enjoy direct access to the VAST-groomed trails.
What’s new?
- The event is now called the Ride for $25 Weekend.
- For 2026, the dates are January 23-25, 2026.
- VAST, the Vermont Association of Snow Travelers, oversees 5,000 miles of trails across Vermont.

- Vermont’s winter scenery is hard to beat: trails run through forest, across hills, and connect to local towns and businesses.
What to bring / know:
- Bring your snowmobile(s) and gear—check Vermont’s snowmobile registration rules and whether your machine needs a TMA (Trail Maintenance Assessment).
- If your preferred cabin isn’t showing as available, contact us — we’ll check alternatives or waitlist you.
- Since this is a high-access weekend and one of the early major events of the season, booking early is encouraged!
