Amenities
Yes, we have an on-site spa right next to our Welcome Center. The spa offers a variety of services, including massage, couple’s massage, face treatments, Ayurvedic services, and more. To book a spa service, you can call 802-216-0118 or request an appointment online.

Our A-Frame on the Ridge and The Roost have a Keurig coffee machine in addition to the standard drip coffee maker.
All of our cabins and homes have their own private, outdoor fire pit.

No need to bring your own firewood. We also sell additional bundles of kindling for $7/bundle.
Any wood brought from off-property must be Vermont-sourced wood.
We do not have an on-site restaurant. However, all of our cabins are equipped with full kitchens that include a fridge/freezer, stove/oven, pots, pans, utensils, serveware, dishware, etc. so that you may cook in the cabin.
We are also located just 5 – 10 minutes from a handful of restaurants, markets, and grocery stores in Jeffersonville that offer breakfast, lunch, dinner, takeout options, and grocery items.
Check out our Enhancements page to browse our bundles and baskets that include locally sourced ingredients and ready-to-cook foods that can be waiting for you in your cabin.
Yes, you can fish in our ponds on the property (catch and release only). Our large pond is best for fishing. You do not need to purchase a Vermont Fishing License in order to fish our pond.
The pond is safe for swimming, but it is shallow in some parts, so many guests prefer the pool.
Our private pond is “skate at your own risk.” The closest places to ice skate in the winter are Smuggler’s Notch Ski Resort and The Lodge at Spruce Peak.
Our pool is a seasonal outdoor, in-ground pool. We open our pool in late May (typically Memorial Day Weekend) and close it in mid-September. It is a heated pool.
We do not have a hot tub on the property. Some of our cabins (all of our one-bedroom cabins, Field and Stream Cabin, and A-Frame on the Ridge) have jetted tubs in the bathroom.
The pool is open seasonally from 9AM – 8PM. The game room is open year-round from 9AM – 8PM.
Yes, we have a small store in our main office called The Ridge Store. We have snacks, beverages (including beer and wine), and novelty items for sale, such as local meats, ice cream, pizzas, etc.
Our only common areas on site are our Main Office/Welcome Center, Game Room, pool area, and outdoor spaces. All cabins/homes are private rentals, so no living spaces or kitchens are shared.
Yes, we have laundry facilities in our game room that are available for all guests. Some of our larger houses and cabins have in-home laundry, including A-Frame on the Ridge, Field & Stream Cabin, Ridgeview Cabin, Pond House, and The Roost.
Yes, your cabin has its own free, private parking.
Yes, all of our cabins have a heat source (in addition to the gas log stove, wood-burning stove, or fireplace). This is either a propane heater in the living area or central heating.
All of our cabins also have air conditioning in the warmer months. Smaller cabins are set up with window AC units, and some larger homes have central cooling.
Sterling Ridge does not offer daily housekeeping services, as our guests tend to enjoy their privacy. However, if you need any extra supplies or fresh bedding at any point during your stay, those items can be found or requested at our main office.
Yes, we provide pack n plays and high chairs upon request.
Area Information
In the late Spring, Summer, and Fall, it is roughly a 30 minute drive to Stowe. In the Winter, it is roughly a 45-minute drive due to a seasonal road closure.
Vermont Route 108 from Stowe is closed for the winter, typically closing sometime in November and reopening sometime in May. If you are coming from Stowe/Waterbury during this time, stay on Rte 100N to Morrisville then get on Rte 15W through Johnson to Junction Hill Rd. For other weather- and road-related questions, please check the Vermont Agency of Transportation website or call 800-ICY-ROAD for the latest road conditions, including the closure of Vermont Route 108.
We are a ten-minute drive from Smugglers’ Notch Ski Resort (a.k.a Smuggs’). The Vermont Route 108 road closure does not impact the drive from Sterling Ridge to Smuggs’.
Burlington International Airport (BTV) is the closest airport, located roughly a 50-minute drive from Sterling Ridge.
Driving Distance to other airports:
Montreal, QC (YUL) – 2 hours
Manchester, NH (MHT) – 3 hours
Boston, MA (BOS) – 4 hours
NYC, NY/Metro NY (JFK, LGA, EWR) – 6 hours
Sterling Ridge Resort offers private, fully equipped log cabins in the Green Mountains, making it easy to plan a last-minute Vermont stay. With full kitchens, scenic mountain views, on-site amenities, and a peaceful setting near Smugglers’ Notch, Stowe, and Burlington, you’ll have everything you need for a relaxing stay. As part of this special offer, the standard dog fee is waived on eligible last-minute stays.
Because we are located in a rural area, taxis, Ubers, and Lyfts are not common. There are minimal ride services available, but there are local taxi services to and from the BTV airport in Burlington. We highly recommend renting a car for more convenient and accessible travel during your stay.
There are plenty of fun activities to do year-round. Some of the most popular activities include hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, horseback riding, and more. Visit our Experiences page to explore things to do by season.
